In the spring of 2003, we purchased land from Silver Lakes Ranch, a Bluegreen Community in Sunset, TX, located between Decatur and Bowie. It's a beautiful community with lots of trees and rolling hills. The six acres we purchased is perfect for the walkout basement we wanted.

After interviewing other builders, we decided to use Turkett Custom Homes. As most builders in this area, they had not built a walkout basement before. The research put forth on the project by Turkett Homes gave us great confidence the basement would be finished properly.

We can't say enough proficient things about both Ty and Karen. Currently, they are building two homes for us as Silver Lakes Ranch, our home and one for David's parents. Any issues encountered that require attention have been handled promptly with professionalism. Changes we've made along the way have been handled in the same manner. Karen has been a great help with decorating decisions. I have difficulty blending everything together. Her expertise has certainly been an asset.

Our son is a home inspector by profession in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. He has gone to Silver Lakes with us several times to give us his opinion on construction of both homes. His comment each time has been that we have an outstanding builder. Statements such as these are definitely comforting since we currently live 90 miles from Sunset and not able to check on things daily.
